Holographic Card
A small premium UI element with foil shimmer. Three's meshPhysicalMaterial iridescence renders a Fresnel rainbow across the surface; clearcoat adds glossy varnish; an HDR Environment preset gives the iridescence content to reflect — without one, the effect looks flat. Mouse position drives a small tilt via refs; zero React re-renders.
Where it shows up: Stripe payment-card heroes, premium SaaS landing pages, NFT marketplaces, ticketing apps. The pattern signals "this is special" through material, not chrome.
Tunable knobs: iridescenceIOR (1.0–2.0) shifts the rainbow band; iridescenceThicknessRange in nm shifts the color sweep across the surface. clearcoat + clearcoatRoughness toggle gloss vs matte foil. Lower metalness reads as paper-foil; higher reads as polished metal card.
Variations: add a rim light for stronger Fresnel; add subtle Bloom in post-processing; print-style: replace iridescence with a foil normal map.
